Good morning,
Most of you have heard of the death of Travis Riddick. He grew up in Centerville and was recently killed in Afghanistan. Please pray for his family during this difficult time. If you live near Moravia, Travis’ body will be coming through here on Highway 5 between 3:45 and 4:15. If you could come and stand by the highway it would be a great show of respect. Bring an American flag if you have one.
Meryle Brown is in route to Iowa City for his consultation today. I am praying that he finds out something positive and moves ahead soon with the corrective work that needs to be done. Also pray for Meryle and Donna since the weather isn’t the best.
We also need to pray for three people who are all in the hospital in Des Moines:
Edra Robinson, Butch Robinson’s mom.
Charlie Johnson, a man from here in Moravia.
Jean Janes, a lady from Moravia that many locals would know. She is a niece of Helen Johnson.
BOWLING TONIGHT AT 7:00 PM in Albia!!!
There are still TWO opportunities for adult Bible studies on Wednesday night you can get involved in. Kevin Wiskus is teaching Old Testament as a survey class. That basically means it is an overview. If you want to get into the Word of God more, this would be a great class to take to help you become familiar with the Old Testament.
Also on Wednesday nights, Wayne Veach will be starting over with the video/discussion series on the Book of Revelation. This is NOT a verse by verse study like the Sunday school class, it really deals more with current events and applies them to prophecy.
This Sunday I am going to ask everyone who will to read through the New Testament during the month of February. I think it would be awesome for a couple of hundred people to be reading the same passages every day for a month. Commit now to this and let’s get in the WORD!!
Have a blessed day and we will see you on Sunday.
