Good morning,
LADIES, tonight is scrapbooking. Come any time after 2:00 PM and someone will probably be here. If you have never been here but like to scrapbook or want to learn; they seem to have a great time. Bring a snack to share.
MEN!! We have two announcements for the men. Saturday is Men’s Breakfast. Following breakfast, we need a few guys to help read and vote on scholarship applications. Secondly, anyone who can stay and help, we will be putting up the arena behind the church.
FROM THE SUNDAY SCHOOL DEPARTMENT:
*We are asking everyone to bring some canned goods for the Lord’s Cupboard.
*During the SS hour on May 13th, the kids will be packaging food for Kids Against Hunger.
SUNDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES:
If you don’t come on Sunday night, you have been missing a real blessing. This Sunday night we will be having a quartet for those of you who enjoy quartet music, don’t miss this.
*On May 13th, in the evening service, we will be having a group from Kansas City, MO singing
at 6:00 PM. They are called For His Love. Plan to be here and invite a friend.
*On May 20th we will be having our Annual Meeting. This is not just for members. Most of the
work will be done and we will be sharing our vision for the coming year.
Here are some prayer requests: My younger sister will have surgery on May 15th. Continue to pray for Meryle Brown and Geneva Chamblee as they are both taking chemo. Thank you for praying for Aaron Conley, he got an encouraging report from the doctors, PTL. Pray for a little girl, Taylor Kirby, that was in a four-wheeler accident last week. Elizabeth Miller is out of the hospital. We had a call to pray for Tom Warner’s sister Sandra. We have not heard since how she is, but it was a bad situation.
May 27th is Pentecost. Pray that God will pour His Holy Spirit out on us again fresh and new!
See you Sunday,
Pastor Chapman
